Family: My husband of 34 years is Mark Siemonsma. We have two children. Our son Eric resides in California with his wife, Kris and stepson, Mason. Our daughter, Lindsay and her husband Wes and son Wyatt live near Graettingerl, Iowa. We live on an acerage in the Rock Valley area. We raise Morgan horses. Our black lab, Luci keeps watch over everyone.
Faith Statement: I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. (Ephesians 3:7) It is he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God... (Ephesians 4:11) These inspired words from Paul are the foundation for the calling I believe I have been led to fulfill. God has equipped each of us with various abilities to unify his kingdom and reveal the purpose of his son, Jesus. God has provided us a way to know him through the awesomeness of his created world. It is my goal that art students will see evidence of God's hand in the beauty of the heaven and the earth by recognizing the elements and principles of design and how God has used them in his design.
God has provided in his design of all creation, absolutely everything we need to live and thrive. Art students will use a variety of materials and media that are manmade and Godmade. Students will learn that materials can be manipulated and arranged in various ways to produce a variety of results. The result of their work; artwork, must then be displayed to represent the mission of SCCS and above all, to witness to others what images are to be glorifying to God.
