Moms In Touch
Email Prayer Request

"Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward him for the lives of your children" Lamantations 2:19

Moms-In Touch is a group or women (mothers, grandmothers, supporters) who believe that prayer makes a difference and who gather once a week to:
. . . praise God for WHO He is
. . . thank God for His rich blessings and answers to prayer
. . .bring before God the needs of SCCS students, staff, board and parents.

All moms, grandmothers and supporters are welcome to join us at 2:00 p.m. each Wednesday afternoon during the school year at First Christian Reformed Church (321 2nd St. S.E.). Please use the upper east entrance- the meeting room is the first door to your right as you come in.

Do you have a prayer request for your child, student or family? Please e-mail your requests to dtink@mtcnet.net (confidentiality strictly upheld)

History: SCCS's MITI group is part of an international prayer ministry that began in 1984 with a woman named Fern Nichols from British Columbia, Canada. Fern's two oldest children were entering Jr. High in a public school and she felt burdened to pray for her children. She asked another mom to meet her to pray for their children. Fern began to share this idea with other moms and several groups were started.

A year later, Fern moved to Poway, California where she began another MITI group and continued to share the idea of Moms-In Touch with other moms. God blessed the Moms-In-Touch ministry and there are now MITI groups spread all around th world. Fern has been a guest on Focus On The Family's radio broadcast several times. The Moms-In-Touch booklet is printed in Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, German, Swahili and others. There are grade school, high school, college and home school Moms-In-Touch groups. Our own group has been meeting for at least a decade.

PRAY WITH MITI: Please join all the Moms-In-Touch groups across our nation who are praying that every school will soon have a Moms-In-Touch group. Please join Fern and the leadership of Moms-In-Touch International in prayer that the eyes of children, teachers, administrators and school staff in our nation's schools will be opened to the truth of Jesus and that Biblical standards and high moral values will come back into the classroom.

The Mission of Sioux Center Christian School is to develop in each of God's children a knowledge and understanding of Christ and His creation so that they can obediently serve God and others as they work and play.
