Window Scavenger Hunt
THANKS to all who participated in the Window Scavenger Hunts... we hope you had fun!!
Stayed tuned...MAYBE we'll do another hunt in May!
In celebration of Good Friday and Easter and to give our families and others in our community an outdoor, safe-distance activity, we are offering a
Window Scavenger Hunt
for the next two weeks!
April 6-12: Message of the Cross scavenger hunt
April 13-19: Message of the Empty Tomb scavenger hunt
Anyone may participate in the hunt!
SCCS students may send in a photo of their completed puzzle and enter a drawing for one of three prizes each week!
Week 2: Eighteen SCCS Families have an EMPTY TOMB in their window
or by their front door.
They also have a NUMBER and a LETTER clue displayed.
Three houses will have TWO sets of clues
Use the Puzzle sheet of your choice below (copies will be available in school entry).
With the clues you find on your scavenger hunt, decipher the message of the cross.
MISSING CLUES Version of the Puzzle
This version is a great place to start, especially if your kids are 4th grade and older.
The map shows you the section of Sioux Center where all eighteen houses can be found.
The puzzle gives fewer actual clues. You know the frequency of each letter used in the message, but only are given the actual location of a smattering of letters.
MOST CLUES Version of the Puzzle
This version is great for younger kids. Plus if you have students stuck on the MISSING CLUES version, parents can use this to give them additional clues.
The map shows subsections and how many houses are in each subsection. Helpful also if you want to walk/bike instead of drive or if you want to break down the search into sections.
The puzzle provides all the numbers needed to complete the message. You still need to find the letters for the Puzzle Key.
Drawing for prizes!
SCCS students can email a photo of their completed puzzle to be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes. Email address is on the bottom of the puzzle. Please include your full name & phone number! Limit one entry per student.
ALL ENTRIES, no matter how quickly or slowly they are entered, have equal opportunity to win a prize.
